C. Steiner et H. Mackinger, AGGRESSION OF DEPRESSIVE SUBJECTS IN DREA MS AND CHILDHOOD MEMORIES, Zeitschrift fur klinische Psychologie, Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie, 44(4), 1996, pp. 382-390
According to psychoanalytic theorizing depressives show elevated autoa
ggressive tendencies. By use of the Gottschalk-Gleser Verbal Sample Sy
stem we compared depressive patients (N = 18) to a nondepressive contr
ol-condition (N = 17). The assumption of elevated aggression, directed
inward 'as well as 'directed outward' could be corroborated with two
speech-samples; especially the aggression, directed inward' was elevate
d for the dreams-accounts.
