M. Zoppi et al., STRUCTURE FACTOR OF COMPRESSED LIQUID DEUTERIUM CLOSE TO THE MELTING TRANSITION, Physical review. E, Statistical physics, plasmas, fluids, and related interdisciplinary topics, 54(3), 1996, pp. 2773-2779
The structure factor of compressed liquid deuterium has been measured,
using time-of-flight neutron diffraction, in five thermodynamic state
s close to the melting line. The pressure and temperature ranges were
selected in the intervals p=48.5-467 bar and T=20.7-29.0 K, respective
ly. The highest liquid density is close to that of the solid phase at
the triple point.
