Abstract
The occurrence of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and multiple myel oma (MM) in a single individual is rare, and the clonal relationship b etween the two neoplasms is unclear. We describe here a patient with C LL who developed symptoms of MM while responding to experimental thera py with interleukin-4 (IL-4). This patient was treated with 2-chlorode oxyadenosine (2-CDA), and had a response in both malignancies.
