Abstract
The regioselective synthesis of fluoroalkyl-containing beta-hydroxyket ones by the reduction of the salts of the corresponding beta-diketones with LiAlH4 was proposed. This is the sole method for the synthesis o f beta-hydroxyketones with two fluoroalkyl substituents.
