An experimental study of the effect of SCN- ion concentration and lase
r bombardment intensity on the anodic dissolution of copper into an aq
ueous NaCl electrolyte is reported. The laser was used to accelerate t
he dissolution process. The results are analyzed in terms of power spe
ctra, fractional Brownian motion theory and confocal image processing.
An interpretation of the dynamic phenomena via the theory of nonlinea
r dynamics is also suggested. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
