Two poly(arylene cobaltacyclopentadienylene)s, 3b and 3c were synthesi
zed and their electrochemical properties investigated. The polymer wit
h methyl groups at 3,4-positions of cobaltacyclopentadiene ring, 3b un
dergoes reversible oxidation at room temperature and shows 10(-4) Scm(
-1) of electrical conductivity when chemically doped with I-2.
