Abstract
The experience gained from using high strength lightweight aggregate ( LWA) concrete in long-span Norwegian bridges are presented, based on b ridge cases dated back to 1987, Bridge designs using high strength LWA concrete might, in general, be economical for long-span bridges depen ding on bridge geometry, site location and application, Experience wit h durability and maintenance are limited and will be further evaluated with time.
