A graphic-analytical method of interpreting the soil mantle is examine
d and tested. It is based on field data, specialized cartographic info
rmation, and the results of a multizonal satellite survey. It is found
ed on an analysis of the distribution of the average numerical values
of clusters in two projections of the survey channels: (1) 0.5-0.6 mu
m and 0.6-0.7 mu m, and (2) 0.5-0.6 mu m to 0.6-0.7 mu m and 0.8-0.9 m
u m to 0.6-0.7 mu m.
