Abstract
Pollution-induced changes in acidity have been assessed for the Al-Fe- humus podzols, widespread in the boreal belt. Abundant data made possi ble evaluation of the aerial technogenic pollution by copper, sulfur, and nickel. Seasonal and parcel fluctuations in acidity were revealed. They are determined by the atmospheric fallout amount and composition , as well as by the properties of soil genetic horizons.
