A new periodic operation is investigated for heteroseneous catalytic C
STR. For the heterogeneous case two scales of dynamic responses have b
een derived, slow for heat processes and fast for concentration proces
ses. Periodic operation in, intermediate mode between slow and fast pr
ocesses, called mediate operation is studied by manipulation of feed f
low rate. Mediate operation enables a desired separation of temperatur
e and concentration responses by a single input variable. The stabiliz
ation of conversion improvement can be achieved for lower and upper st
able steady states. For system analysis analytical investigation of th
e slow manifolds is used as well as numerical study.
