Abstract
We prove some upper and lower estimates for the effective energy corre sponding to the homogenized p-Laplacian equation and we even find all cases where these estimates coincide. For the case p = 2, the linear c onductivity case, our results generalize those obtained earlier in [2] , [3] and [4]. We also point out that our estimates are tighter than t hose obtained by Tartar in [6] when the conductivity tensor is isotrop ic.
