Abstract
A being a positive selfadjoint operator, we give sufficient conditions on the operators B and C for the uniform stability of the system [GRA PHICS] We apply this result to the thermoelastic plates and to the par ticular case where B = A(alpha) and C = A. In this last case, we give the decay rare of the associated energy and other properties ofthe ass ociated semigroup (analyticity, compactness).
