Abstract
We derive general expressions for the cross section of neutrino scatte ring on electrons in dense, hot stellar matter, in the presence of str ong magnetic fields. Numerical calculations of the scattering cross se ctions at various densities, temperatures, and magnetic fields are per formed. Strong, quantizing magnetic fields modify significantly the an gular and energy dependence of the scattering cross section.
