Abstract
The in vitro activities of pyrimethamine and dapsone alone and in comb ination were evaluated against 23 clinical isolates of Mycobacterium a vium complex. The broth dilution MICs of dapsone and pyrimethamine alo ne ranged from 16 to >64 mu g/ml. Pyrimethamine in combination crith a fixed concentration of dapsone at 0.5 mu g/ml showed enhanced activit y, with an MIC range of 0.5 to 16 mu g/ml.
