Abstract
For two liquid films adsorbed onto two Bat substrates, at distances be low some threshold, sudden formation of a liquid bridge between the tw o substrates occurs that should be observed by various force-measureme nt apparatus such as the surface force apparatus and atomic force micr oscopy. This transition was examined by a simple mean-field model of f luid confined within a slit-type pore, and semiquantitative assessment of the condensation distance was made.
