Trinuclear, tetranuclear, hexanuclear, and dodecanuclear chalcogenide
cluster complexes of chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, and rhenium have
been synthesized and their molecular and electronic structures have be
en characterized. The structure-cluster valence electron relationships
are analyzed and a new isoelectronic analogy is proposed.
