Ja. Hochman et al., DIAGNOSIS OF CYTOMEGALOVIRUS-INFECTION IN PEDIATRIC MENETRIERS DISEASE BY IN-SITU HYBRIDIZATION, Journal of clinical microbiology, 34(10), 1996, pp. 2588-2589
A previously healthy 7-year-old boy presented with a protein-losing en
teropathy secondary to a hypertrophic gastropathy. The diagnosis of cy
tomegalovirus (CMV) infection was established by detection of CMV incl
usion bodies in gastric biopsy samples and by hybridization with a CMV
probe. This report further strengthens the association between CMV an
d pediatric Menetrier's disease.
