Abstract
The problem of forecasting solar flare proton fluences is discussed an d some projection techniques are proposed for long-duration space miss ions. The proton energy ranges considered are > 10 and > 30 MeV. Resul ts of modeling the proton fluences are compared with available observa tional data. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
