Abstract
In this paper, we discuss some uses of curve evolution theory for prob lems in computer vision. We concentrate on three problem areas: shape theory, active contours, and geometric invariant scale spaces. The sol utions to these key problems will all be based on flows which are obta ined in a completely natural manner from geometric and physical princi ples.
