Vv. Rozanov et al., INFORMATIVENESS OF MEASUREMENTS OF OUTGOING ULTRAVIOLET, VISIBLE, ANDNEAR-INFRARED SOLAR-RADIATION (GOME INSTRUMENTS), Earth observation and remote sensing, 13(6), 1996, pp. 903-918
The informativeness of measurements of outgoing reflected and scattere
d solar radiation was analysed with the use of multiband spectrometer
GOME in ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared spectral ranges. GOME
measurements are shown to allow the vertical profile of O-3 content to
be measured with an error of 5-15%. GOME spectrometer allows also the
determination of the content of total OClO, BrO, and SO2, especially
under the conditions of ozone holes.
