THE SOCL2 REDUCTION ON A POLYPYRROLE ELECTRODE MODIFIED WITH IRON TETRASULFOPHTHALOCYANINE

The reduction of SOCl2 from its dilute solutions in acetonitrile on th e platinum and polypyrrole electrodes as well as on the polypyrrole el ectrode modified with iron tetrasulfophthalocyanine (FeTSPc) is studie d by cyclic voltammetry. The SOCl2 reduction peaks decrease in height if a polypyrrole film is deposited on platinum. On the contrary, intro ducing FeTSPc into the polypyrrole film makes these peaks increase in height dramatically, compared with both the polypyrrole and platinum e lectrodes.
