Athletes are prone to a variety of pathologic conditions of the wrist.
Wrist arthroscopy has become an effective tool in the diagnosis and t
reatment of athletes with wrist problems. Because it is minimally inva
sive, wrist arthroscopy often allows early return to training and comp
etition. This article discusses the causes of wrist problems in athlet
es, their classification, the portals, and the intra-articular anatomy
in the context of arthroscopic intervention.
