Abstract
The Wilson-Frenkel growth law of colloidal crystals formed in charge-s tabilized dispersions of latex spheres is investigated theoretically o n the basis of variational free-energy estimates. We find, in agreemen t with recent experimental results, that the reduced growth velocity i s a universal function of some rescaled density variable.
