Abstract
A locally optimized theory was applied to a laser control of a two-dim ensional unimolecular reaction of a triatomic molecule. This molecule is characterized by dissociation and isomerization channels. The isome rization is shown to be a dominant reaction by applying a sequence of pulses. To see how the isomerization is controlled, we anal!zed the ti me variation of the reaction by using a nuclear wave-packet theory.
