Abstract
Electronic tuned amplifiers exhibit seemingly noncausal behaviors such as negative group delays and superluminal group velocities. This is d emonstrated with a simple tuned amplifier circuit which is analogous t o the Lorentz model of the inverted atom. There is no contradiction wi th causality, rather it is shown that these behaviors are required by Bode's law, itself a consequence of causality.
