La. Anchordoqui et al., PRIMORDIAL NUCLEOSYNTHESIS AS A TEST OF VARIABLE REST MASS IN 5-DIMENSIONAL COSMOLOGY, Physics letters. A, 222(1-2), 1996, pp. 43-46
The deviation of primordial helium production due to a variation in th
e difference between the rest masses of the nucleons is presented. An
upper bound delta(M(n) - M(p)) less than or similar to 0.129 MeV, betw
een the present and nucleosynthesis epochs is found. This bound is use
d to analyze Wesson's theory of gravitation; as a result, it is ruled
out by observation.
