Abstract
Seven alumina samples with different chemical compositions are analyse d by Auger electron spectroscopy. The method of Hall and Morabito is u sed for the determination of the surface concentrations. We found a co ncentration between 0.50 and 0.63 at.% for oxygen depending on the sam ples, which is in very good agreement with sample preparations.
