Abstract
We analyze the possibilities to explain experiments on interference fr om the viewpoint of the hypothesis of a priori existence of photons be fore the moment of detection. The photon interpretation of the third-o rder interference scheme is inconsistent with the law of energy conser vation. The assumption of a priori local existence of photons in the i nterpretation of interference effects of the fourth and higher orders leads to the Bell paradox.
