Abstract
Recent precise experimental results of neutron elastic and inelastic s cattering in simple fluids, like noble gases in various density ranges , are briefly summarized. The comparison of these results with availab le theoretical calculations and the relevance of this experimental met hod, with the present state of the art, for the study of the microscop ic properties of these systems are discussed.
