Abstract
We describe two synthetic strategies for the labeling of 2'-deoxyuridi ne5'-triphosphate with curboxylated derivatives of Methylene Blue at t he C-5 position. We also show that the derivatized nucleoside triphosp hate can be incorporated into oligonucleotides or DNA fragments by tai ling with terminal transferase.
