B. Rotte et al., SYNTHETIC OLIGONUCLEOTIDE COMBINATORIAL LIBRARIES WITH SINGLE BEAD SEQUENCE IDENTIFICATION, Collection of Czechoslovak Chemical Communications, 61, 1996, pp. 304-306
Several types of beads have been used to prepare oligonucleotide libra
ries and their molecular recognition properties tested through hybridi
zation screening. Polyoxyethylene-grafted polystyrene beads (Tentagel(
R), Rapp Polymers) were found to have good library properties and. in
addition. allowed the identification of the immobilized sequence by di
rect Maxam-Gilbert analysis of the oligcnucleotides released from a si
ngle bead.
