Rp. Taylor et al., GEOMETRY INDUCED QUANTUM INTERFERENCE - A CONTINUOUS EVOLUTION FROM SQUARE TO SINAI BILLIARD, Superlattices and microstructures, 20(3), 1996, pp. 297-305
A single device which can evolve between two distinctly different geom
etries is desirable for studies which relate a billiard's shape to the
classical and semi-classical processes determining the magnetotranspo
rt properties of the device. We describe an evolution between a square
and Sinai billiard and compare the observed transitions of both class
ical and quantum effects with those predicted from calculations. (C) 1
