Abstract
With 8 men, two methods of alaryngeal speech production, tracheoesopha geal and electrolaryngeal, were compared on perceptual and acoustic me asures of speech intelligibility. Measures consistently identified the tracheoesophageal speech as superior to electrolaryngeal speech.
