Semistability at infinity is a geometric invariant for finitely presen
ted groups. If G is a finitely presented group then the semistability
of G can give information about the fundamental group at infinity for
G, the cohomology of G, and the shape of the boundary of G. In [6], M.
Davis exhibits Coxeter groups with somewhat pathological behavior at
infinity. Our main theorems are that all Artin and all Coxeter groups
are semistable at infinity.
