Abstract
Theoretical conformational analysis of a hexapeptide fragment p17-p24 of the native substrate of the HIV-1 protease was reported. The geomet rical and energy parameters of all possible optimal conformations were determined. The data which are necessary for the calculation of the m echanism of the catalytic act of HIV-1 protease were obtained.
