Abstract
Measurements of the MTF and the DQE, on images obtained using a scinti llating glass optical fiber system coupled to a mammography him, are d isplayed in comparison with the measurements obtained by a standard ma mmography cassette using the same him and the same X-ray dose. The fin al results are favourable to the scintillating fibers. The use of a CC D read-out in the place of the mammography film is discussed.
