Abstract
Gruneisen parameters G(a,b,c) were calculated for CuGeO3 along three p rincipal axes in the temperature range 7 - 200 K using existing experi mental data. Its behaviour is completely different above and below 14. 3 K. Several conclusions on the nature of the magnetism in CuGeO3 were made.
