S. Linderoth et Cs. Jacobsen, SOME PROPERTIES OF THE GIANT MAGNETORESISTANCE (GMR) MATERIAL LA-Y-CA-MN-O, Czechoslovak journal of Physics, 46, 1996, pp. 2007-2008
Polycrystalline samples of La0.60Y0.07Ca0.33MnO3, which is an excellen
t system for demonstrating giant negative magnetoresistance, have been
studied in some detail at temperatures below 300 K and in applied mag
netic fields between 0 and 5 T. A similar behaviour as reported by oth
ers is observed. The most drastic effect occurs near 160 K, where the
resitivity drops a factor of 60 when applying a field of 5 T. A study
of the hysteresis effects in transport as well as magnetization has be
en performed.
