P. Richter et al., CONDUCTANCE ZERO-BIAS ANOMALY IN HIGH-TEMPERATURE SUPERCONDUCTING GRAIN-BOUNDARY JOSEPHSON-JUNCTIONS, Czechoslovak journal of Physics, 46, 1996, pp. 1303-1304
A zero-bias conductance peak is found in the tunneling characteristics
of high temperature superconducting bicrystal grain boundary junction
s (GBJs). The analysis of the anomaly is performed in terms of spin-fl
ip and Kondo-type scattering at the interface (Anderson-Applebaum mode
l). Applying a magnetic field parallel to the grain boundary barrier t
he splitting of the Kondo peak is observed implying the existence of s
pin-hip and Kondo-type scattering in the grain boundary barrier.
