We investigated whether Thorium (Th) suppress superconductivity in the
Bi-2222 compounds or not. As a result, superconductivity disappear by
the partial substitution of Th for Ce in the (Bi1.5Pb0.5)Sr-2(Eu1.65C
e0.35)Cu2Ox system. However, this result never mean that Th suppress s
uperconductivity in the Bi-2222 compounds. The reason is described in
detail with the experimental results.
