is stoichiometric Bi2Sr2PrCu2O8+delta compounds. Stable layered struct
ure phase is found to crystallize iu fully oxygenated atmosphere at th
e temperature or 1000 degrees C. Powder X-ray diffraction analysis ind
icates a pseudo-tetragonal phase with lattice parameters a approximate
to b=5.43 Angstrom and c=30.3 Angstrom. Four-probe transport measurem
ents shows superconductivity with the onset temperature at similar to
15 K. Near the temperature, dc magnetic susceptibility examination exh
ibits diamagnetic signal in zero-field-cool. The volume fraction of Me
issner signal in field cool is as large as similar to 20% for the lowe
st experimental temperature of 2 K indicating bulk nature. Under die a
pplication of an external magnetic field, die anisotropy of the compou
nd is estimated to be similar to 10(3) from resistivity measurements.
