The modelisation of an Ag sheated Bi(2223) high temperature tape is pr
esented. The identification of the model parameters is carried out usi
ng adaptive identification techniques. It allows an accurate matching
between measurements and theoretical models of the ouput response to a
n applied signal. Besides the AC behaviour of the superconductive tape
, the determination of the active and reactive components, the dynamic
al properties are investigated for frequencies below or close to the p
ower frequency and currents up to the critical one. The AC losses are
described using a special equivalent circuit configuration. The Ag she
ated Bi(2223) tapes are prepared by Professor Flukiger's team at the U
niversity of Geneva, Switzerland.
