Vv. Marchenkov et al., QUADRATIC TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENCE OF THE HIGH-FIELD MAGNETORESISTIVITYIN TUNGSTEN AND MOLYBDENUM SINGLE-CRYSTALS, Czechoslovak journal of Physics, 46, 1996, pp. 2569-2570
The transverse magnetoresistivity of tungsten and molybdenum single cr
ystals with resistivity ratios of up to 80.000 were measured in the te
mperature range from 2 to 30 K and in magnetic fields up to 15 T. We s
how that the observed quadratic temperature dependence of the magnetor
esistivity is not only caused by electron-electron Umklapp processes,
but also by an ''electron-phonon-surface'' scattering mechanism.
