Bj. Gibson et al., SUSCEPTIBILITY, SPECIFIC-HEAT, AND TRANSPORT-PROPERTIES OF CEAUGE ANDGDAUGE, Czechoslovak journal of Physics, 46, 1996, pp. 2573-2574
The intermetallic compounds CeAuGe and GdAuGe (ordered CaIn2-structure
type) were prepared by are melting the elements. The specific heats c
(p)(T) were measured between 1.5 and 50 K, the thermal conductivity la
mbda(T) and the electrical resistivity rho(T) from 1.5 to 300 K. GdAuG
e shows antiferro-, CeAuGe a ferromagnetic ordering at T-N 16.9 K and
T-C 10.0 K, respectively. The magnetic, electronic, phononic and cryst
al field contributions to Cp(T) are separated and discussed in connect
ion with measurements of the susceptibility chi(T) The contributions t
o lambda(T) and chi(T) are discussed in relation to the magnetic prope
rties.
