We present measurements of Y-89-NMR spectra for the intermetallic comp
ounds U0.2Y0.8Pd3 and YPd3 at temperatures between 0.1 and 2.5 K In th
is temperature range the Knight shift for both materials is 0.15 % and
approximately temperature independent. The NMR linewidth of U0.2Y0.8P
d3 is one order of magnitude larger than for YPd3, indicating a variat
ion of Y environments that result from the random distribution of the
U ions on Y sites. The temperature dependence of the spin-lattice rela
xation rate shows an approximate Korringa-type behaviour for both comp
ounds. An analogous study of Cu-NMR of UCu3.5Pd1.5 will be presented a
s well.
