Fungi of the genus Flammulina are well known for the purposes of appli
ed mycology. Submerged cultivation makes possible to use them for exam
ple as a source of edible biomass and proteinases with fibrinand throm
bolytic activity. Growth characters and fermentative activity of 3 Fla
mmulina strains were being studied during submerged cultivation. Biosy
nthesis of fibrinolytic exoproteinase as well as thrombolytic ones was
typical for all studied strains, a maximum of the proteolytic activit
y was observed at the same stage of growth as a maximum of accumulatio
n of biomass. The use of organic nitrogen sources was preferable For c
ultivation of F. velutipes strain, as compared with N-containing salt.
