Abstract
A study of the release of beta-estradiol from d,l-lactide/epsilon-capr olactone copolymers was performed. The copolymers were used in the for m of films (in vitro) and microspheres (in vivo). The d,l-lactide cont ent was varied from 50 to 94% in the copolymers studied. It was found that an almost constant rate of beta-estradiol release for about 70 da ys can be achieved by the application of appropriately selected materi al.
