Abstract
We study the magnetic field behavior of the resonant current steps app earing in one dimensional arrays of Josephson tunnel junctions. The an alysis is carried out in the framework of the Kulik theory of resonanc es in small Josephson junctions, and the theoretical maximum current a mplitude of tile Fiske steps is computed as a function of the applied magnetic field. Preliminary measurements of the Fiske step current mod ulations induced by varying the magnetic field is also reported and di scussed.
