For exceptionally low-defect films of superconducting compound NbC wit
h critical temperature T-c=12 K we have researched the upper critical
field H-c2(T) and T-c change caused by high-energy He+ ion irradiation
. From the dependence of H-c2 on resistivity rho the electron characte
ristics have been evaluated. The parallel critical field H-parallel to
(T) of the thin films in a vortex-free state and the T-c degradation m
echanism were discussed.
