Abstract
The influence of twins induced by twist deformation at 4.2 K and rolli ng deformation at 20 K upon magnetic field dependences of critical cur rent density J(C) of niobium and vanadium is studied. The ''anomalous' ' decrease of J(C) in zero and low magnetic fields is stipulated by an increasing thermomagnetic instability at twin interfaces with high lo cal values of T-C.
